The “BMT” pollinator garden at Rogers Park was officially given to the City of Beaumont last fall at a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which brought local government officials together with Magnolia Garden Club members. The brainchild of the club, this unique gift was conceived to return something back to the community. The statue was designed by club member Camille Ohmstede, who was inspired to create something unique to Beaumont, and that would be the focal point to the surrounding pollinator garden planted by the club. The entire design concept incorporates conservation education, a city landmark, and a dynamic visual attraction at this popular park in the heart of the city. It was a “bee-utiful” event complete with perfect weather to celebrate this “living statue” that is quickly becoming the most popular selfie destination in the city!
